At eight years old a boy took up coding during a lockdown, which resulted in him creating many applications based around learning and to earn recongnition by his school for his work. This boys name is Akhil Akella he is a elementary school student who capitalized on boredness during the lockdown. Akhil is from Leicestershire and he created education software at his home to help in classroom endeavors. He recieved an award from Greystoke primary school's trust, this was a huge deal and he felt that his time coding truly paid off. Many people had to find new hobbies during the lockdown, this boy found his and was good at it. He learned from videos, many people have started doing this during the lockdown which truly highlighted thechange that is going to take place in the tech industry. He competed against 12 other schools to get this award and he won, simply from learning code during a lockdown. This is a powerful story because alot of us were in a lockdown of some capacity, being able to found a hobby and skill that can change your life is awesome. He even created a few goals, one of the goals being to create a world with zero road accidents. His father being a IT engineer really helped Akhil develop his passion. Akhil is very invested in smart technology, he wants to make the world overall easier.

Tech Spark is a company based in Bristol, it is a not-for profit network dedicated to connecting and educating digit tech clusters in west Europe. They focus alot of the faster growing companies and have one of the biggest tech meetup memberships in west Europe. Over 4500 members attend these membership meetups where they can network and talk about technology and ideas. The director is a women which is super impactful and cool, seeing women in a high positions is a great thing to see especially in technology. They are very big on developing tech talent and connecting them to really good jobs, another super cool aspect about this company is how they find investors. Investors can be hard to find but with tech spark they give their members opportunities to get investors for their business ideas. One project that they have is called “The sparkies” which is almost like a cool award ceremony for new companies and highlights their accomplishments in tech. Over 500 attendees which is a full event and they also have a cool party afterwards to celebrate. Another cool opportunity this company has is called Spark school, spark school is a way to teach under represented groups tech and how technology works. This program has helped many underrepresented groups find jobs and opporuntieis to grow in their fields.
