Wrong icons about albert HOT 5 CLOSED

Well yes but there is not much I can do, since this is a Qt bug. Qt's icon lookup is heavily crooked, because - obviously - the developers cant read (...the freeesktop icon specs). Since Qt 5.0 there have been a few "fixes" which still do not work as stated by the specs. Not even the recently released 5.5 did it. I I have a lot of time I will write the lookup myself. But, this is still alpha, there is a lot of other work to do.

Expected behaviour

theme icon properly displayed

Actual behaviour

theme icons never displayed, fallback icons are displayed(if found or else no icons)

but icons for chrome, wine and steam are displayed perfectly

Is your Qt icon theme properly set up? Do other qt applications show the correct items?

yes that fixed it, but had to export DESKTOP_SESSION=gnome to set icon theme since my DE is openbox.
1. is there a way we can set it within applicaion?
2. what about manual icons(icons present in icons directory) which are not usually associated with any icon themes?

openbox is a window manager not a DE. DEs do handle this sort of work for you. If you are using WM only its up to you. I cant handle DE tasks in my application
