This Repo aims to illuminate my current understanding of the Nintendo e-Reader, how dot codes are structured, and the process for creating custom cards. While this information is available in various forms elsewhere, I encountered challenges finding the specific details I sought. The goal here is to compile everything needed in one easily digestible format for individuals unfamiliar with the e-reader but curious about its functionality.

I've also cataloged my work, encompassing all Official/Semi-Official e-Reader cards released and unreleased for the English version of Ruby and Sapphire. Notably, this collection includes promotional cards released solely in Japan. I've meticulously broken down these cards using the outlined methods, faithfully translated them to the best of my ability, and injected them into save files for use with English copies of the game. All save games are provided in both 64k and 128k formats.

Through my testing, I discovered that 128k saves behave strangely with SRAM-patched versions of the e-Reader ROM. If you intend to use these saves on something other than the official e-Reader or emulator, I strongly recommend utilizing a patched 64k version of the e-Reader ROM and the saves located in the 64k folder. Official e-Readers and emulators should encounter no issues with the true 128k save games.
