Based on your work and by just renaming Gitea ARM V7 to gogs I was able to install it on my Synology. Global informations are still related to Gogs. Just to let you know and maybe by chance we'll have your work translated to Gitea the new fork of Gogs. Thx !

I'm trying to install Gogs to my Synology Diskstation DS213j (DSM-Version DSM 6.2.2-24922 Update 3).

I get the "Installing" progress prompt for a minute or two, but then I always get the message 'Failed to install "Gogs".'

Messages say "Failed to run preinst, No such file or directory". Is there a problem with unpacking the gogs.spk on my DS? I'm clueless what to do.

Any help appreciated.

Tried to copy Linux arm binary which is available on the official website, but my NAS can't run that binary. I'm wondering whether you build your own binary from the source code? If so, what't the parameters of go build to set the correct archs?

I can't start this program which i complied, but your release did work

The package worked great for me so far, but maria-db 5 is not supported anymore by synology DSM 7, making this spk obsolete.

Is there any chance for it to be updated with a maria-db 10 dep?

Hello,
how can I start the package as non root User, for example git?
I only get this error: The executing user is not the current user: git -> root
Gogs is running, when I enter root, but I want to change it to git-User.

This things I did:
I created git-User in DSM
Change Ownerships in SSH with chmod -R for Gogs & Git
Nothing works.

Any Idea or tutorial?
