I ran into few issues deploying this and have made some updated in my forked version. Putting here a summary if interested:

1. I completed the Load Balancer deployment to access the management nodes
2. I updated the cp-kubeconf.sh file as it needed the SSH key to be specified to connect. Also had to change the syntax of SED (perhaps difference on macOS)
3. I edited all of the scripts. On the latest ubuntu-20.04 for Hetzner of of the packages updated during the apt-get upgrade command is opens and you have to keep the old config otherwise cloud-init hangs waiting for user input. My fix isn't very 'safe' so probably a better way to do it
4. I added a Firewall requiring Hetzner tf module to be upgraded to 1.26
5. I added the --tls-san option with the LoadBalancer IP to the k3s-management.sh file so that I could used Kubectl to hit the load balancer
6. I also use S3 for my state files so added that to the top of the main.tf file... if your not using S3 just delete that portion

Hope somebody finds this helpful. Not really an issue but thought by posting it here somebody with similar issues may find it helpful.
