Sometimes thunderbird, while downloading email messages from IMAP folders, randomly adds double carriage returns within the message (so instead of having 0D 0A, you get 0D 0D 0A at random points)
This breaks digital signature of SMIME messages, but it could be easily repaired

This is because the same hash appears more than once, and the file name after the hash is sorted differently by javascript and by bash "sort" command.

if two email messages with identical subjects (or with subjects that "become" identical after being cut because they are too long for the filesystem) are saved in the same folder, the first one will be saved as (say) "My long long subject.eml" and "My long long subject-1.eml", however in the hash list, they will appear both as "My long long subject.eml" because the "-1" suffix is added by createUnique method when the file is saved.
Need to pick up the real name of the saved file AFTER it is saved

in order to notify the user that it is time to backup!

When email message subject contains special characters, they are not correctly encoded in the hash list text file (affects only Windows)

While testing a backup with hundreds of email messages, by comparing hash_list_with_filenames.txt with the output of sha256sum * I've found that some cases the hash for the same file is different!

Apparently, if you fail to uncheck "include subfolders" and actually many non S/MIME messages are exported, the plugin fails.

Of course, you should not preserve non-S/MIME messages, as they are not signed and need not to be included in the process.

I suggest to un-select "include subfolders" as default value.

hash list with filenames is sorted differently than the output of sha256sum * so checking if the hash list is correct requires some manual work in Meld or similar programs
