Win10 64位，近期常有无法打开cad程序和文件的情况，以及锁屏后无法使用Ctrl+Alt+Del调出登陆对话框以便输入登陆密码的情况。
回忆了一下，可能是使用本软件后发生的。

不使用本软件，经重启系统多次试验，暂未发现无法打开cad文件、无法调出登陆对话框的情况。

当然，我的问题可能是个案，不具代表性。

After v2.0.0 beta1 when i enable FluentAnimation or CustomRendering, and click on registry (except the option key itself) its just shutdown, also happens on ExplorerPatcher

Is it possible to render the border of a panel after the FadeInTime ends or including with them?
At the moment if i open a context menu the border is immediate there but then the animation render the content with FadeInTime. Good to see if time is set to a high value like 300.

When I run install.bat for the latest build, v2.1.0, I get the error "Access is denied" from Rundll32.exe. It doesn't matter if I run it as administrator or not. As you can see from the screenshot below, it looks like TransparentFlyouts is also failing to download symbols. I was using (and indeed, I still am using) v2.0.0-alpha-4.2 x64, since it and all previous versions installed without problem.

I commented on issue #56 thinking it was related, but it's possible I was mistranslating. I also have no idea if this is related to #41.

I'm running Windows 11 Home v22621.1413.

I downloaded the zip but i can't find the program to install, i open the text files but do not understand if I'm supposed to write any code directly on the directory or not.

On Windows 11 version 22H2, the opaque background is shown on the menus.

Looks like they made changes to the menus by adding Part 26 & 27, for 22H2.
Both are same as PopUpBackground and PopUpItem respectively, which it's easy to fix.

Both of these settings have no effect at all, why is that?

To install a new version, do I first must to uninstall the previous version and then to logoff and only then to install the new version and logoff again for the new version?

Does this project utilize the same "Transparency effects" that are in Windows Settings > Personalization > Colors? Because if that's the case, then that is probably why this isn't working on my system; I've had issues with getting Windows Transparency Effects to work (see this thread if you're curious about the specific issue: https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/3813385)

However, I also noticed that even after unzipping v2.0.0-alpha.4, running install.bat and signing out of my user profile (and when I signed back in, I did see a console window talking about downloading symbols that I believe is related to TranslucentFlyouts)... there were NO REGISTRY KEY for TranslucentFlyouts. And obviously, no translucency effects were working. I tried creating the registry entries described in config.md manually and setting appropriate values, but it still didn't work.

CornerRadius值，不、是整个\Hot项的参数在新版本的配置文档中都消失了，然而就我举例的这个圆角半径值，依然是可以使用的，如果我没有先前版本的记录，这个圆角半径就无从更改(因为永远不会知道还有这个参数)....

我的意思是，注册表位置的变化让人感到混乱，尤其对于想更新TranslucentFlyout版本的人。

提个很业余的意见，，能否多一个.ini文件的控制方法，这样应该会直观很多

Hello, whenever I right click on a file on the desktop or from an Explorer window, the list of items in the flyout is incorrect. When I hover over options, they update to the correct list. I've attached a video to show what I mean. I'm using Win11 22H2, and v2.0.0-alpha.3 of TranslucentFlyouts.

Also, I've attached the registry settings I use. From what I can tell, the issue occurs regardless of which settings I use.

Just got TranslucentFlyouts today, and since it was all batch files, I tested the uninstall, the stop service and the debug. The uninstall and stop didn't work for me.

Debug: Seemingly nothing happens.

Uninstall: I get this error saying "The system could not find the file specified."

Stop: I get this error that says "The service has not been started."

So i'm using Niivu's macOS dark theme and with it some context menus brake and have white text on white background.

In Windows 22H2 Build 22621.900 Flyouts are not working, only the Tooltips and popups are working.

It just does nothing on the flyouts:

I have followed the steps to install translucentflyouts, but every time i run the bat file (as admin and without admin) to install/uninstall this error message you see in the image always appears, and there is no visible change in the menus

This happens in Windows 11 Pro latest dev build

I have no idea how this program works on the back end, so forgive me if this is a dumb question. Is it possible to make it apply to the Windows taskbar as well? (so it could be used as an alternative to TransparentTaskbar, for example?)

As I was not able to replicate this bug to show you in the previous update which was fixed after a restart, with this update it is back again after enabling EnableFluentAnimation. I restarted and reinstalled but it hasn't worked on my windows 11 22h1 with mods like explorer patcher, uxtheme and ultrauxthemepatcher. The animation is now much smoother but unusable right now.

Would be nice if we can adjust the size of the new Tooltip theming!

Thank you for publishing this work. I've forked it and made some improvements, making it more in line with Windows design.
I had to drop quite a lot of functionality to focus on popup menus, so before submitting a patch, I'm asking for your opinion on this - does this fit your view of the development of the project, or do I need to maintain a separate fork?

Removed functionality:

• Customizability
• I had to drop Windows Runtime related code and temporary drop tooltips support
• With no more customization options left, I removed the user interface and tray icon
• I have limited the scope to File Explorer by default to avoid breaking some applications in unexpected ways, e.g. it is affects the appearance of desktop icons text

Improvements:

• Instead of reducing background color opacity, I've found a way to detect the color and I'm passing it to SetWindowCompositionAttribute as tint value with hardcoded opacity. On Windows 11, 0x2 flag is needed to increase luminosity.
• I implemented dark mode detection and hooked up a handler to render the separators and hover state of the popup item, and after a long search for the right values, I hardcoded the opacity and color values for them, which forced me to remove all the functionality related to customizability.
• Good looking borders on Windows 11 with DwmSetWindowAttribute call on DWMWA_BORDER_COLOR and removed white border on Windows 10 by drawing on non-client area after some delay.
• Fixed an issue where after selecting the option, the fade out animation is black because in that case Windows ignores the alpha channel. After monitoring StartAllBack calls, I've noticed that it disables the animation temporary with SystemParametersInfoW on SPI_SETSELECTIONFADE and draws its own popup window which resembles the animation. I've managed to did the same, but instead of manually drawing the text on this window, I capture this part of the actual popup menu with BitBlt.
• Some other minor quality of life improvements and bugfixes which hit customizability even more.

None of this can be done without hardcoding and narrowing the scope for customization, so I'm interested in your opinion on this.

I'm not sure why this causes the text to not render properly in the menu and main window of another program, but turning off TranslucentFlyouts fixes the issue immediately. Please look into it

Is it possible to make it hide from the system tray so it looks more integrated with windows?

I downloaded version "v2.0.0-alpha.4.2" in releases, but there doesn't seem to be an executable exe in it.

I have been trying to fix my Valorant installation for 20 days. It used to crash on my new PC everytime. I uninstalled TFs, and voila! Everything ran perfectly. I was wondering if you could try to figure out the issue because it was not the case on the earlier builds.

I noticed that the 64bit version has 0 cpu usage and that is something I like the most about this program
but the x86 bit uses cpu of 0.1% always.
It is a very minor issue but is it a bug?

I think it overloads program/application and leaks memory of explorer. I thought explorer or TF would crash but completly opposite.

fluent animation is sus. V1 was fine. CAn I get blacklist or exclusion list? Some program/applications have compatibility issue

When Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\TranslucentFlyouts\Menu\EnableCustomRendering = 1, right-clicking anywhere in Registry Editor causes the application to hang and then crash.
