First of all, a huge thank you for this little tool, really appreciate it!

Any chance you could integrate a desktop notification to notify on errors? My problem is mutagen works 99% of the time, but that 1% when it suddenly doesn't, I tend to forget it even exists, which has me searching for problems in my code for ages before I even think of checking the mutagen sync status ;-)

It looks like this feature won't be coming to mutagen itself at least for the foreseeable future.

This library seems like the quickest (if not most featureful) way to integrate notifications: https://github.com/gen2brain/beeep

Sadly I have no experience with go, otherwise I'd have submitted this as a PR.
