Is there a way to keep the application active although it is cleared from recent apps?
For example, WhatsApp, although is cleared from recent apps, it still receive messages and media. Telegram also does that. Online shop apps also does that. KDE connect, still have persistent notification (i dont know if it is the right word) and still listens for network discovery although cleared from recent apps.

I need to keep my websocket connections alive and process messages, even if the app is closed from recent apps if possible. Is there a way or workaround for this?

All functions are throwing not implemented on ios

As the title says, is the migration to capacitor 6 planned for this plugin?

Seems to me that everything is fine, no exceptions, but the app does not move to foreground on android 12+
tested on emulator and on android 8 is working normaly
The Promise of requested foreground permission does not complete either.

Is this package supports version 5 of Capacitor yet?

@angeloraso could you help guide me on this plugin's implementation (In Angular). I'm failing to get the notification to display when the app is pushed to the background after enabling background mode.

It looks like you've yet to upgrade your plugin for Capacitor 5 support meaning it's breaking builds on Android (which now require a namespace to be specified in the build.gradle).

Whenever you get a chance, could you run the upgrade assistant on your plugin?
