theconstitutionofindia's Issues

the preamble in this repo is outdated!

this repo's has does not contain the preamble updated in 1976.

WE, THE PEOPLE OF INDIA, having solemnly resolved to constitute India
into a SOVEREIGN DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC and
to secure to all its citizens:

should be this:

WE, THE PEOPLE OF INDIA, having solemnly resolved to constitute India into a SOVEREIGN, SOCIALIST, SECULAR ,DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC and to secure to all its citizens

"SOCIALIST, SECULAR" , the term was added by the 42nd Amendment in 1976, the Constitution had a socialist content in the form of certain Directive Principles of State Policy.

should i make a PR?

Aap chutiye hain kya?

Constitution should be like updated codebase. All amendments should be like changes to a git repo. Philosophy hi fateli hai tumhaari.

Thoda padho git kaise use karte hain.

Clean text-only single "complete" version

So, I ran through all the bundles and generated a "simpler" version of the repo. Each zip file corresponds to one commit. I also cleaned up the formatting a bit using fold, but there are still many issues.

The conversion code is at https://github.com/captn3m0/TheConstitutionOfIndia/tree/complete. You can run complete.sh and it would regenerate the repo from scratch.

The simpler version is available at https://github.com/captn3m0/constitution

I can file a PR for the complete branch, but I'm not sure if it makes sense.

Thanks for all the hard work.
