Very ggod job!
Please add:
r/p2p
r/retroshare

Please add /r/babesdirectory

Its mentioned here that I can request to add a sub this way? Cheers!

Babesdirectory got 30K followers currently :)

EDIT:
I just scrolled through other related issues, @anvaka let me add a few related subreddits:
Generic related

Model specific related subreddits:

Hope that helps :)

Add a subreddit…

Hey, my name is Robin. I have a new subreddit, r/Funny_Jokes_Videos. I was wondering if you guys could possibly add my subreddit to your GitHub? I work really hard on it and I add 10 new posts every single day. I’m having trouble finding new subscribers though. I’m doing everything I can think of. Thank you so very much!!
Robin S.

African subreddits

African subreddits are currently part of Asia for some reason.
I know China has a lot of influence in Africa but this is just ridiculous. :P

More information on layout?

Cool project! Could you provide more information on how and why the map was constructed as it is though? There is a lot of missing information...

  • How are vertices determined?
  • What determines the initial placement of nodes WRT vicinity to other nodes?
  • What criteria are you using to determine countries (categories?)
  • What determines the size and shape of a country?
  • What determines the geographical location of the country IE why is the "default subs" country on the northern edge but the fashion country on the southern edge?

Add subreddit r/ohtaigi

Tried following the instructions in the README.md, had difficulties configuring scour. When I tested the "new" version with 'npm run start', I wasn't able to see the newly generated .svg file (got an "XML error"). I'm sure other community members with more experience with these tools can figure out how to do this correctly. Just wanted to give other data science n00bs and laypeople a heads up.

add subreddit: r/keoxer

ahoy anvaska, how ya doin'?

i wanted you to add the r/keoxer to your map, this is a subreddit dedicated to Aria keoxer, the biggest persian speaking youtuber on youtube. it's mostly filled with memes and other stuff that's related to keoxer's videos. The subreddit is at 60k right now iirc, so it'll be nice to see it on the map.

there are a couple other subreddits related to other persian speaking youtubers such as: r/miaplaysmemes, r/farshadsilent and r/qdpay. it would be nice for these subs to get added too but they're definitely not as relevant as r/keoxer.

btw, i really like this project and i hope it keeps on going.

stay safe.

The death and rebirth of barayiff

r/Barayiff is a no longer active sub that’s since been taken down. And it’s placement on the map should be replaced with r/barafurries . Which has essentially become barayiff’s revival sub that was started nearly two years ago.

/r/RedditMarketing on map

Hi,

I would love to add /r/redditmarketing on your map but I can't program. :D

Yeah the subreddit is about marketing on Reddit. I'm not promoting short-term gains and abusing the community but doing in a way that the community and the business benefit and actually change the business environment so the user doesn't feel like cattle used for money

Thanks.

have a nice day

Add Subreddit r/ModelNortheastState

Truly if possible, there are a lot of MUSG subs I would want added. I would do it myself, but I am clueless at coding and dont want to mess anything up. A few other subs to add, if possible are:
r/ModelCentralState
r/ModelNortheastState
r/ModelSouthernState
r/ModelWesternState
r/ModelNortheastChamber
r/ModelNortheastCourts

Subreddit request: r/vanprace

Hello i am humbly requesting you add r/vanprace to the map its by no means a big subreddit or even a subreddit that even has a purpose but i think me and my friends would enjoy and appreciate it being added

If you want you can also join our discord server it's quite a bit bigger than the subreddit and i would like to think we are quite welcoming
https://discord.gg/KCBKnBBD2y

Thank you for reading

Add r/kiwix

A very small subreddit (89 members), so I don't know if it meets any kind of threshold but would be curious to see where it sits.

Thanks, very cool project!

Remove bias in labelling

This project is really cool. While I recognize that there is no right way to cluster the Reddit comments, I am concerned about the labels, particularly the label "Sick."

"Sick" does not reflect the composition of that cluster. For example, the subreddit "deaf" is about an entire community and culture. The subreddits "ASL" and "BSL" are about languages.

There are clear biases within the data (which is really interesting to see). The least we can do is avoid introducing more bias through labelling.

It can be tricky to choose the right label, but it would be good to use something less negative, perhaps "Health" or "Disability Culture."

r/2007scape placement is incorrect

r/2007scape should be closer to r/runescape and r/ironscape. 2007scape is a community otherwise known as the oldschool RuneScape community, so is more aptly in line near these sub-reddits
