Quickstart

Download a plugin binary for your platform from the Releases tab above.
Tell Logic to load the protocol analyzer plugin. Full details available in the Analyzer SDK docs PDF, but here's a quickie:
Launch the Logic software.
Select Options->Preferences
Under Developer, click Browse. Navigate to the directory you downloaded the protocol binary to
Restart Logic
In Logic, go to Options -> Open Capture and load the example file from the assets folder of this repository. This is a 'hello world' of PJON sending a byte every second.
In Analyzers click + -> Show More -> PJON

Error/no-response should not display a data frame

Sometimes there are random data values for errors, should not be there.

Support multi-byte payload analysis

E.g. use the PJON's network analysis sketches which send 20-byte packets continuously.

Add pre-defined boards in Settings

Use values from Timing.h. Mnemonic choices in e.g. a dropdown. Allow for a custom option too.

Detect a FAIL (no response) condition

Add Stop marker to the tabular and export text

Implement protocol analysis data export

On top of merely exporting values, we have enough information to add protocol-specific information, warnings, etc.

Update analyzer to automatically build binaries using github actions

Hi! I'm a Product Manager at Saleae and we’ve made improvements to our analyzer build process. Specifically, we cleaned up the build system, and switched to cmake, so there aren't multiple project files anymore. By implementing the changes outlined here you will be able to provide the community automatic builds in addition to a simplified build system. Let us know if you think you can make the changes or if you’d like us to make the changes for you.

Additionally, if you would like to update your analyzer so that results appear in Logic 2’s data table you can follow the steps outlined here. Note that if you upgrade your analyzer to FrameV2 it will not be backward compatible with Logic 1.

Create a doc page describing protocol glyphs for PJON

The idea is to have an overview page of how logic analyzer interprets PJON protocol and what each icon/glyph means (cropped screenshots).

Hi @aperepel! I am reading your progress, still unable to test it.
I am so curious to see it in video, if you have a second and you can record it, could be a really great way to describe your work and its functionalities. Compliments for this great craft.

Support different zoom levels for frame rendering

When zooming in and out of the capture, frame bubbles should automatically display more and less information.

Mark Ack/Nack values

Update tabular rendering as well as potentially flag frame with a different icon for NACK.

PJON protocol specification compliancy

CIao @aperepel how its going? I have finally released a sort of Protocol specification, you can find here:

There are 3 versions because of the 3 different stages of development the library adopted in this year.

Are you considering to bring forward the analyzer development including the header addition?
