apertium-en-pt's Introduction

English--Portuguese
===================

These are the linguistic data for the Apertium English--Portuguese
machine translator. This data is currently under development. You
need apertium-3.0 and lttoolbox-3.0 to use this translator.

To compile the linguistic data simply do:

    $ ./configure

to generate a Makefile file and then

    $ make

inside of this directory. To compile directly from Subversion run

    $ ./autogen.sh

first.

apertium-en-pt's Issues

Installed modes are missing files

modes.xml includes some modes with install="yes", but the required
files aren't installed.

Some generic suggestions:

  • -lexc and -twol modes probably aren't useful to users

  • -spell modes should depend on --enable-ospell

  • .deps files are never installed, so any modes using them shouldn't be
    installed.

  • Messages for package app-dicts/apertium-en-pt-9999:

  • Failed to find '/usr/share/apertium/apertium-en-pt/empty.bin' in install image.

  • Failed to find '/usr/share/apertium/apertium-en-pt/en-pt-poly.autobil.bin' in install image.

  • QA: missing files required for mode en-pt-multi.

  • Failed to find '/usr/share/apertium/apertium-en-pt/empty.bin' in install image.

  • Failed to find '/usr/share/apertium/apertium-en-pt/pt-en-poly.autobil.bin' in install image.

  • QA: missing files required for mode pt-en-multi.

Seg fault on sentence from Europarl

I tried to translate this sentence from the Europarl English corpus into Portuguese and it segfaults.

$ echo "Obviously, there have been arguments, we had to go to conciliation, as the rapporteur and Mr Caudron reminded us a moment ago, since at the first meeting no result was achieved, and there had to be a second meeting, despite the fact that the figures were not excessive." | apertium -d . en-pt

#Obviamente, #hi tem havido #argumento, #ter ir

I get the same result in two different systems.
