Just in case you should see no JavaFX window appear:

In eclipse, under run configurations, uncheck "Use the -XstartOnFirstThread argument when launching with SWT".

I purchased the book and downloaded the code and did not see any mention of how to use the code anywhere in the book or in the source tree. I don't use maven but I know enough 'ant' to be able to put together a build.xml file to build the code. I was then able to put together a batch file to run any given class.

However, running the style/ButtonStyleTest class I could not get the styling to work as it is originally written so I don't have something set up properly in my build.xml file and there is no indication of what that might be. I'm not sure what the ResourceUtil class is expecting in a build and there is no helpful information to help me debug it.
