thelistener's Introduction

THE LISTENER

This board allow to capture the serial output from the Amiga to a usb/COM port. You can use it along with Diagrom rom (http://www.diagrom.com/) to diagnose problems on any Amiga.

Just connect the board to the Amiga and the usb to your computer, open a terminal on Windows or Linux, etc with a program like Putty, choose the COMport number and you will able to "LISTEN" what the Diagrom has to say.

The board uses an FTDI 232RL chip. This chip does not require any drivers on windows. It will be detected a COMport. Ex COM3. Then on the Putty configuration, set: COMport number, 9600 BPS, hit connect, then turn on your amiga and you are done.

thelistener's Issues

Didn't work on a2000

I built one of these and attached it to an amiga 2000. I get garbled text in minicom/putty. I know everything else is fine because I get the correct output using a prolific serial to usb cable.
