elfeed-cljsrn's Issues

No https?

When I enter the url to my elfeed server, it complains that the url must begin with http://
I'm running elfeed behind nginx and all http traffic is automatically sent to https. Is https really not supported or is the url checker just too simplistic?

Removed from Google Play Store?

It looks like the link to the play store is broken, and I can't find it in the search. Is this package still maintained? Does it work on the latest android if I download the github release and install manually?

I've setup elfeed on my desktop/laptops with syncthing syncing the database and it's wonderful, but I'm wondering what the best option for Android is in 2019?

Add application to F-droid

I love using Elfeed on my laptop and would love to use Elfeed on my mobile that doesn't have access to play store. If there is anyway to package the APK for https://f-droid.org that would be amazing! Plus, I'll open a bounty :-)

Enhancement request -- saved filter configurations

First of all, WOW!
Love, love, love it!

  • I installed one instance of this on my ebook reader, and I use it for reading articles.
  • I installed another on my phone, and I use it for listening to podcasts.
  • I use elfeed-search in emacs (obviously) on my computer, and I use it for watching videos.

So,

  • Sometimes I want to watch a video.
  • Sometimes I want to listen to a podcast.
  • Sometimes I want to read an emacs article.

I use elfeed-org to define types of feeds and tag them. So, I have tags for video, podcast, and text, among many others (e.g. computing, .

I would love to save predefined filters for these tags (or anything else) rather than have to type them in anew constantly.

It would also be nice if the app started up with the same filter as set when it was shutdown.

Thanks!

Links in entries/posts don't work

Issue: Clicking/tapping a link within an entry/post just opens a blank page.

Expected behaviour: Clicking a link in an entry/post should trigger opening a browser

[Side related nitpick: For the general "open in browser" function - does it need to be within a three-dot menu which only has one item? Couldn't it just be (1 tap) icon like the "mark unread" button?]

Unable to set Elfeed server URL

I'm on Android 6.0.1, and I can't get past the screen where the server URL is set. The same URL works fine in the browser on the same device.

Swipe from post to post?

Is there any way to have "swipe left to previous entry", "swipe right to next entry" behaviour? This would make digesting rss feeds in elfeed a bit more fluid.

Some words are squashed together

First, thanks a lot for this tool. It is exactly what I was looking for.

One thing I have noticed is that sometimes a word is concatenated to the next one. If you look closely in the package's last screenshot, you can see what I mean. Some examples: "evaluatesthe", "computean", "couldproduce".

Dark theme

A theme with a dark background and light text would be great.

Finally moving from ttrss to emacs :) one Q on mark as read?

HI

thx so much for this! i can finally move from ttrss to emacs :)

I have one question on marking as read from android that will reflect in the elfeed server which i cant quite understand. how does one mark entries as read? i cant seem to swipe to any direction as instructed in the documentation and dont see a mark as read button?

in addition i would love if possible to mark as read if i scroll on the phone past entries (many rss clients on android including the ttrss one do that)

thx again for your great work!
