When the C library Taglib is installed, taglib-config --version can be called to know the version of the library.

This can be used to enforce TagLib >= 1.7.2, instead than just specifying this in the README

Using latest libtag1-dev on Debian, bundle install produces the error:

You must have TagLib >= 1.7.2 installed in order to use taglib-ruby.

I installed the latest taglib v1.11.1 from source and tried again but got the same error message.

Not sure where to go from here.

Taglib-ruby does not allow GIF images to be stored as cover art of M4A files, so if that happens, id3_tags simply does not store the cover art.

An improvement would be to do what iTunes does: implicitly convert the GIF into a PNG image, and store that into the ID3 metadata.
