This other approach seems to properly render the TableView

class TableView extends View
  @content: (rows) ->
    @div =>
      @table name: 'rate', outlet: 'rate', =>
        @thead =>
          @th "header 1"
          @th "header 2"
          @th "header 3"
        @tbody =>
          for row, index in rows
            @row(row)

  @row: (row) ->
    @tr =>
      @td row[0]
      @td row[1]
      @td row[2]
rows = [["1.1", "1.2", "1.3"], ["2.1", "2.2", "2.3"]]
$('.content').html(new TableView(rows))

However there ins't much documentation on when you should use a SubView or what to expect from it.
