java-api-search's Issues

`setTimeout` in code

The latter versions of the Javadoc API reset the "search" box multiple times. So if we try to set it immediately, it gets overwritten. This is why I have the

setTimeout(function() {
...
}, 1500);

block inside the innermost chrome.tabs.executeScript() call. Surely there's a better way to do this, but I haven't yet figured it out. Note that this issue will be obsolesced if #1 can be resolved.

Acquiring Search Results

This Omnibox extension uses a rather roundabout way of getting search results from the Java API, and that's to (1) open the page, (2) simulate a search entry, and (3) grab the first result. A better way of handling this would be to interact with the Javadoc web API itself, but I haven't yet figured out how to do that.
