bonneville's Introduction

I'm a Front-end developer based in Inverness 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

The vast majority of my daily work is building bespoke WordPress themes, but I also dabble in the dark-arts of React and Gatsby. When I get the time.

Add menu notification

Add a menu notification dot on load similar to those on social media platforms. Possibly utilise useState to handle when to turn off the notification

Previous Page click does not work when a third page created.

After creating another blog post a new page in the Blog page is created. You can reach to that by simply clicking the "Next Page" button but when you reach the end(in my case the third page) it doesn't return to "/blog/2", it returns to just "/2".

Feature Request Gatsby 3

Any plans to update to Gatsby 3? I'm not a developer and ran into error messages Google could not help me with when I tried to follow Gatsby's migration guide from version 2 to 3. It's a great template. Very classic.
Thanks

OG: image source maybe problematic + work around

Hi there,

I think the OG:image is working but the source image is inaccessible. This maybe perhaps due to hosting it on Netlify but currently social preview sites can't pick this up. I have a work around below:

  1. Here is bonnevile as is, you can see that the image card is not picked up:
    https://socialsharepreview.com/?url=https://bonneville.netlify.app/

  2. The tag is defined correctly though

  3. My work around was to use the known location of an image e.g. below

  4. Here is how I defined it

  1. Social sharing result using my work around (ratio isn't quite right by the image has been found)
    Screenshot 2021-05-02 at 14 21 46

  2. End result side by side comparison. Or with all of them here: https://www.opengraph.xyz/url/https:%2F%2Fwww.logikblok.com%2F/ vs https://www.opengraph.xyz/url/https:%2F%2Fbonneville.netlify.app%2F/

Hope that's all clear, again could be just Netlify being problematic to serve the image.
