Homework 1:

  • Grayscale and Binary Images
  • Automatic Thresholding using Otsu Method
  • Morphological Operations: Dilation, Erosion, Opening, Closing, etc.
  • Connected Components Labeling

Homework 2:

  • Local Features
  • Bag-of-words model for image representation
  • Perform CBIR by using such a representation based on local features.

Homework 3:

  • Image Segmentation
  • Accurate segmentation of images using color and texture information.

Term Project:

  • Object Localization and Recognition
  • Develop a method for image classification and object localization.
  • The method will use a framework that is similar to the R-CNN model.
