icinga-multi-status's Issues

unknown error

If you use a https url and you are using a self signed certificate or one that doesn't match the certificate you get the message, and your new instance will be refused.

unknown error

To work around that you will have to visit the API URL with a normal browser window first and import the certificate.

gret plugin ! one issue though

Hi guys,

just started using your great plugin.
I ve discovered one issue:

  • if host is DOWN and acknowledged, all related services are flaged as "Houston, we have a problem!
    Something seems broken, sorry."
in fact, all is green for me, but not for the plugin...

If you can correct or add an exclude option plz ?

icinga extension doesn't seem to work with Nagios anymore

I think I've used it in the past to monitor Nagios instances, but doesn't seem to work anymore (hangs indefinitely when saving in the configuration)

If it used to work and doesn't anymore by design, I suggest that gets added to the README to avoid confusing people.

support old nagios (Nagios3) ?

hi,

is there any kind of support for old nagios systems where status gets fetched via:

http://.........../cgi-bin/nagios3/status.cgi ?

basic authentification seems not implemented here, so i guess not, but i wanted to ask ;)

thanks

Ignored services are listed.

The Hide and ignore services are not counted in the upper right icon, but they are listed in the overview.

Quote from the manual:

Regular Expression to hide/ignore specific services from showing up in the monitoring. You won't receive notifications or alerts of matching services. They also not showing up in the overview lists.

I'm using the Icinga Classic UI URL.

Add Sound Notifications

Hi,

It will be great to have some sound alerts when something is going bad.
Can someone add this sound alerts to the plugin?
Also it will be great if we can customize it via options, to upload our sounds

Overview shows acknowledged alarms

Although I've configured to "Ignore acknowleged hosts & service problems" in the instance options, the alarms will shown.

I use Icinga r2.4.1-1 and Icinga Multi Status v0.3.0

Feature: mark acknowledged services in plugin overview

Thanks for the really helpful tool. As you asked for sending feature ideas on the help page of the plugin, I decided to do so.

It would be really helpful, if it could be recognized directly from the plugin, which services in state warning or critical are already acknowledged. If a new problem pops up, at the moment it is not possible to identify which of the troubled services is the new one. One has to check all the services in state warning or critical inside the icinga service portal to find out.

Add Sound to Chrome Notifications

Great tool, works perfect!

But if you could include a sound to the notifications, it would be an huge advantage to recognise the notifications.

Icinga2 API access failing on check

When attempting to add my Icinga2 instance for API parsing the extension gets stuck on "checking". I've opened the console and found the last URL loaded by the extension and the preview reports "Failed to load response data". I copy the URL and open it in a tab, and a very large amount of data is loaded (32.9MB). I'm guessing that either the extension or chrome have hit some transfer limit and this has caught the extension in a loop.

When trying to add the server to the config I am finding that I have to keep re-entering the same data because the server is not saved until a successful connection. This is a bit annoying and repetitive. It would be really nice if the values I've entered were saved and I could go back and modify/update them as needed.

When first installed the extension reports that everything is good, which is a bit misleading when no servers are defined. Perhaps a link to the configuration page if no servers have been added yet?

Thanks!
Tim

What permission do i need?

Hey!
So i want to create a API user and give specific permission.
What permission does Icinga-multi-status require?

Sorting issues

Hi there,

thanks for your nice app.

Could you sort issues on level so criticals and warnings are on top?

No client certificate used

When I try to set up the extension I get an 'unknown error' notification and the Icinga 2 logs show:

[2015-11-21 18:02:39 +0100] information/ApiListener: New client connection (no client certificate)
[2015-11-21 18:02:39 +0100] warning/TlsStream: TLS stream was disconnected.
[2015-11-21 18:02:39 +0100] warning/ApiListener: No data received on new API connection.
Context:

error 404 on click at hostname because it links on icinga v1 ressource

{"error":404.0,"status":"The requested path 'cgi-bin/extinfo.cgi' could not be found or the request method is not valid for this path."}

I use your plugin with icinga2 API. The connection is functionally and shows hosts and services. The link on hostname in the plugin window goes to https://:5665/cgi-bin/extinfo.cgi.....

Could you make it configurable to input the Webserver-URL for the Browser?

Mozilla Firefox 57 (Quantum) lost saved settings

Hi Daniel Schmitz,

I've installed icinga-multi-status at Mozilla Firefox 57 (Quantum), do my settings inside the Add-ons tab and save the settings.

After closing and starting Mozilla Firefox 57 (Quantum) again, all the settings of my Icinga instance will be lost and NO instance was set.

Please can you confirm that, or maybe I did something wrong on Mozilla Firefox 57 (Quantum) settings? So please can you help?

Thank you in advance.
Klaus.

Unknown error when using hostname insted of IP

Hello,
when i change IP to hostname in option:
"Icinga Data URL (API URL for Icinga 2, Icinga Classic UI URL for Icinga 1):"

i get error =>
Icinga Error:
unknown error

DNS works OK,
icingaweb2 OK
API URL with hostname works OK..

Could you please advise, what to check ????

Version 0.9.3 add new instance is not working

With the version 0.9.3 you can't add an instance (same in firefox an edge). After input of new instance parameters it hangs at "Checking"....

Workaraound:

  • install version 0.8
