hotpants's Issues

"Not compatible configuration"

Hi,
I'm trying to install on Sony-Ericsson P1i, and opening the JAD or JAR displays a message "Not compatible configuration" (I translated the message back from my phone's local language). Do you think there is a chance to run it? Or is this for S60 only?
Thanks!

Editing SECRET does not always have effect

Hi Matti,

I'm still a happy user of this app. I recommend it to people when they ask about J2ME TOTP, but I don't know if they really start using it. I'll probably stick with it as long as Hungary has the 2G network in operation. Maybe you'll have the interest in checking this error as your time allows. ;-)

I found this issue earlier, but could never really understand it. And still not.

To reproduce:

  1. Start creating a new code
  2. When filling SECRET make a mistake
  3. Save it, and when you try to verify you'll see the codes are wrong *[1]
  4. Open the item for editing, modify the code and press Save

Current result:

  • the current 6-digits code does not update and still shows the code from old SECRET
  • now, if you close the app, the change won't be saved at all
  • or if you open item for editing again, you may or may not see the updated SECRET
  • if you wait for the code to update instead of doing anything else, I think THEN the change is applied, but not always
  • I cannot fully determine when the change is saved and when it is not

Expected result:

  1. Save the edited SECRET (this part is most important, because currently often the change is lost)
  2. Recalculate the current code when returning to main screen from Edit mode (this is less important)

Today after doing all that as explained above, in circles, repeatedly, the program never saved my updated secret, i finally needed to entirely delete the new entry and make it again. That was the only way to edit it. Previously I was able to edit it without deleting the entry, but also with some struggles.

*[1] I'm using two backups, my basically unused smart phone (andOTP) and a KeePassXC database stored offline, for TOTP backups only. So that the codes have some backup, and I can also use that to scan QR. So I use those to verify that I typed in the Secret correctly my Sony-Ericsson P1i.

If you don't have time for this, no problem. I'll pay more attention to type in the code correctly. But it's good to have the issue documented.

Thank you in advance!

Time configuration problem

Hi,

I think there are some problems with the time configuration. It often moves to -235 with no reason. This value is not possible to set with the slider.

I go back and forth between clock and the app, and then I notice it's -235. I'm not sure if it's always this number, but it was this two times today. I had similar number yesterday, maybe exactly this. My configuration was +28 first, and then I set to +21, both went to -235 by itself.

Would be great if you could please check that.

ps: I'll report back if I notice values other than -235.

Thank you,
LionKMP
