Also, the fact that there is not a clear reference from transaction to PO number (other than $transaction->message_variables['@po_number']) makes it pretty difficult to build VBO actions on top of these transactions.

Solution: add "transaction_id" primary key to commerce_purchase_order table.

Consider removing order_id.
