hass-jellyfish-lighting's Issues

Version 1.0 not finding the controller

@bdunn44 THANKS FOR ALL YOUR EFFORTS AROUND THIS!!!

I was finally able to get your beta version installed on Christmas Eve. While it didn't have the actual state of the zones, it worked great and I was able to create several scripts and automations using it and specific zones and effects.

I tried to upgrade to version 1.0 and I'm now getting the error: "Could not connect to controller at specified host/IP." Originally the existing integration just showed an error. even after reloading. I then deleted it completely an tried a fresh install via HACS. It installs fine but can't find my controller. The controller is active and the same static IP.

Thanks!

Jellyfish Cloud

Jellyfish just announced the addition of a cloud connected app. If we upgrade the firmware in our systems, will it cause problems for our local control via home assistant?

Update IP address of JellyFish Controller

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
My router died and I had to reset it. As such, my reserved IP for my Jellyfish was changed and I can't see an easy way to update it in the Jellyfish device settings in HomeAssistant.

Describe the solution you'd like
Can we setup a configuration setting so we can update the IP address for the JellyFish controller, like it asks during setup?

Describe alternatives you've considered
Looked in config files and didn't see it stored anywhere.

Additional context
Add any other context or screenshots about the feature request here.

Legal Considerations

To start off, I am not a lawyer and am not well versed in law. I do however work for JellyFish and personally think this is cool and I'd hate to see it get in trouble of some sort.

You may want to make it apparent that this is not an official JellyFish Lighting product. I wonder about the usage of the JellyFish logo too.

Just trying to get ahead of any potential problems

Installed via HACS, Integration not showing up in HA

Installed current version via HACS
Restarted HA
Integration not showing up as an available option to be installed via HA integrations.
Verified all files have been added to custom_components/jellyfish_lighting
Overwrote files (manual install)
Rolled back to 1.0.4 release

Ran through all of the usual troubleshooting, no logs as it is not installed.

Currently running HA 2022.7.7

Thanks,

Integration will not initiate
