outpostplanner's Issues

[Feature Request] Button in basic options to swap out the miner used

This mod is great! However it is a minor hassle to go into the blueprint to change the miner used by the planner. I would like to see a button added to the basic options to allow the user to swap out the miner to any custom miner that shares the same footprint as the one in the blueprint.

Train based option

While in late game I usually use miners to directly load trains, without belts. Would be awesome to have a "Train based" option.

Don't know if this is possible or wanted by others, but seems nice to have.

Missed tiles not covered

Hi,

I prefer to use the "Spread Out" configuration, but when I use it, there are gaps and it doesn't cover every ore tile. See this picture. I've placed copper plates on the 15 or so missed tiles in that example.

Partial use of Express Belt

I click the GUI, and change it to Express belt (and Medium pole), but the GUI selection is keeping the yellow belt, and adding express belt.

The blueprint that being generated using both belt.
I wish it only using one belt.

Edit : also happen in splitter usage (it used both)

Gui disappeard

That gui button that is on the top left to check the settings suddenly disappeared for me, when I create a new game its back where it belongs, how do I call it back?

Oil outposts

Have you considered adding support for oil fields?

Pole is shifted 1 tiles if the Orientation is South or West

Hard to describe in words, so i attach an image instead.
untitled

Basically what OP did was placed the mining drill correctly, but then the pole is shifted 1 tiles, so the result is some mining drill being override.

This is not happening in other orientation (North/East)

Module Support

Is it possible to request modules for the miners? I like production modules to stretch my supply.

placement not working right

Not sure if this issues gets used, I posted this on the forum for the mod but I'll put it here too

This is happening since I updated to 0.18.41 or maybe as early a 0.18.39
I set a simple bot based blue print for the blue print. It has 2 drills facing each other one space apart with a chest between then.
And it has a medium power pole next to the chest.
I have smart placement on as well for power poles.

The results is that

  1. few or not chests gets placed, they only get placed if there is no ore for the drill facing a drill to be placed (and no, there really is space for the chest between all placed drills)
  2. drills get spaced out with 1 space separating neighboring drills
  3. only 1 power pole gets placed
  4. no errors appear other than the message that it could not place poles. there are no errors in the log either

I hope the image file is available. it shows the results now with the spacing, no chests and just 1 pole.

Bot based outpost

Would it be possible to make it skip belts and place provider chests between the miners to support a bot based mining outpost?

Doesn't seem to be compatible with the mod, Max Rate Calculator.

Attempting to change the rate option in Max Rate Calculator crashes my game to the main menu and gives the following error:
"Error while running event OutpostPlanner::on_gui_click (ID 1)
OutpostPlanner/gui.lua:270: attempt to index local 'frame' (a nil value)"

My game also crashes to main menu just attempting to open the Outpost planner GUI. It gives a different error for this crash:

Error while running event OutpostPlanner::on_gui_click (ID 1)
OutpostPlanner/gui.lua:461: attempt to index field 'OutpostBuilderWindow' (a nil value)

The issues are resolved if I remove the mod, Max Rate Calculator. However, I would very much like to be able to use them both if you have the time to work out the issue.

I would also like to let you know how amazing this mod is! I have been wanting something like this for a very long time as I hate setting up mining outpost even with regular blueprints. I finally broke (after 1k hours) and starting searching the other day and came across your mod. I've loved it ever since! This works exactly as I had hoped it would when it comes to quickly building mining excavators over fields of ore.

Thanks again!

Compatibility with factorio 0.17

Sorry to bother you but I wanted to ask if you planned to look into supporting version .17 of factorio. OutpostPlanner truly is an excellent and useful mod, so if anything, you have my thanks for all the work that you previously put on it.

Set Factorio version to 0.15 in info.json

In info.json you have factorio_version set to 0.15.0 which even though factorio parses this just fine is imho syntactically incorrect. It should be 0.15 instead, since 0.15 covers the whole 0.15 range while 0.15.0 covers just a single version of factorio.

I noticed this problem because this tool refuses to update the mod because it claims the factorio_version of the mod is too old compared to my 0.15.34 server.

It'd be awesome if you could fix it. Thanks for creating the mod!
