can't pull from github after I set up heroku. getting a remote repo error

"git pull --rebase origin master
fatal: 'origin' does not appear to be a git repository
fatal: Could not read from remote repository.

Please make sure you have the correct access rights
and the repository exists."

Every time I refresh my browser I get a 'Paused in debugger' prompt but I there is not debugger present in any part of my code.

Having trouble making a put request to change the status of a textbook to 1

I've been working towards being able to get and put a textbook which I believe requires the route '/:id/textbooks/:id' in our user routes, however I'm unsure of how to grab the specific textbook and how to use it.

Attempting to add a query string to our get request to our API that only returns textbooks that belong to users that go to the same college that the current user goes to (that way they only see textbooks that are on their campus). Not sure how to make that request, I've tried adding to the end our api '/api/users?q=college:NYU' and variations of it but cannot retrieve it correctly.
Also have a question regarding the patch request in our routes, where we want to update a single textbook, so the patch route would be '/users/:id/textbooks/:id', however I'm unsure how to grab each textbook...
