How to set up new devbox

  • ssh config
    • ssh-keygen
    • add new public key to github account
  • Install php
    • PHP 7.0
    • redis-server
    • php-redis
    • php7.0-zip
    • php7.0-mbstring
  • Install mysql
  • Install postgres
  • Install git
  • Install composer
  • Install npm
  • Install laravel
  • Change owner of www
    • cd /var/
    • sudo chown {newuser}:sudo -R www
  • Setup New Project / Clone from existing
    • git clone to /var/www/
    • setup the vhost and enable the site

  • Synchronize devbox drives with IDE eg PHPStorm
