Bifrost Workshop II: EVM/PALLET/WASM cross-chain operation SLP minting vToken

Bounty Title

Bifrost EVM/Pallet/Wasm cross-chain operation SLP minting vToken

Bifrost Description

Bifrost is a web3 derivatives protocol that provides decentralized cross-chain liquidity for staked assets. By leveraging on the cross-consensus message (XCM) it can provide cross-chain liquid staking services for multiple chains.

Bifrost’s mission is to provide standardized cross-chain interest-bearing derivatives for Polkadot relay chains, parachains, and heterogeneous chains bridged with Polkadot. Furthermore, by aggregating over 80% of PoS consensus chains’ staking liquidity through cross-chain derivatives, our protocol lowers users' staking threshold, increases  multi-chain staking ratio, and improves the ecosystems application interest base, by creating a three-way positive cycle for the StakeFi ecosystem by empowering users, multi-chains, and ecosystem applications.

Bifrost has raised over USD 2M from top-tier venture capital firms by the likes of NGC, SNZ, DFG, CMS and other institutions. In addition to being an early receiver of a Web3 Foundation Grant, Bifrost is also a member of the Substrate Builders Program and the Web3 Bootcamp.

Challenge Description

SLP (Staking Liquidity Protocol) is a Bifrost pallet running liquid-staking-assets, such as vKSM. The challenge is to create a cross-parachain Dapp in EVM / PALLET / WASM, which can call vToken minting by using XCM.

You may find more details about SLP in our wiki: https://wiki.bifrost.finance/learn/mechanism/slp/vksm and the SLP pallet: https://github.com/bifrost-finance/bifrost/tree/develop/pallets/slp/src

You can write Substrate pallet, EVM contract or ink! contract for this workshop.

Submission Requirements

  • The DApp must be related to Bifrost ecosystem, such as Token exchange, pallet call interaction or built with Bifrost SDKs.
  • Link to your public GitHub repository. The project must be open source.
  • Team introduction in the README of the Github Repo.
  • Video no more than 3 minutes that demonstrates your submission. Videos must be uploaded to YouTube, BiliBili or anywhere publicly.

Judging Criteria

  • Technological Implementation: Does the interaction with Bifrost demonstrate quality software development?
  • Potential Impact: Is the Project Open Source and how big of an impact could the project have on the Bifrost ecosystem?
  • Quality of the Idea: How creative and unique is the project?

Prizes

Total Bounty is < 10000$ in BNC.

Benefits

  • Strengthen your Substrate FRAME coding skills.
  • Support by the Bifrost team throughout the hackathon.
  • Option to apply for a treasury grant afterward.
