multi-map-js's Issues

Change map center during runtime

Add ability to change the center coordinate and the maps zoom (Google Maps)/span (Mapkit JS) during execution. Currently this has to be set before the map has loaded.

Add support for React

Add support for React by wrapping the library in a Component. Will need to be published on npm. Maybe move into a separate repository?

The google-maps-react npm package created a detailed tutorial about wrapping Google Maps, which may be applicable to this library.

Add images to documentation

Add images to code examples to demonstrate the customisation options.

This will be useful for properties that people may not be familiar with, such as MapKit JS pin customisation.

Update to ES6

Take advantage of new ES6 syntax features, such as classes and fat arrow functions, to make the code more concise and easier to read. ES6 support across browsers is now sufficient that backwards compatibility is not a big issue.

Unify zoom and centerSpan values

Both Google Maps and MapKit JS use difference methods for determining the zoom level of the map (See README.md for details). This means that both values need to be specified, which is cumbersome to do and makes it harder to add support for other map libraries.

MapKit JS uses latitude and longitude deltas. This is measured in degrees (1 degree = 111km at equator, 0km at poles), which makes it more difficult to have a direct correlation between the two.
