To start with, the shop should only sell Seed and Nesting Material. Then as you play you should unlock more, depending on some criteria: maybe how many bird species you've found?

Needs to be balanced with the money system so you don't get locked into buying expensive food for birds that Just Don't Appreciate It

You can already access which birds have been spotted in the Journal singleton (maybe also look at how many birds have been spotted overall?)

this is not supposed to be a mean game. Something should be free. Thoughts:

• nesting material becomes free when you have 0 money? (and when you have 0 inventory - otherwise there's an obvious exploit)
• birds will occasionally enter your garden randomly anyway and just leave again when they find no food?

We track the total number of birds that have visited the garden in Journal#get_total_birds_spotted, we should add some extra achievements for this in the Journal.

e.g.
Bronze trophy = 10 birds
Silver trophy = 25 birds
Gold = 50 birds?

also, an achievement for spotting at least one of each bird?
for buying every item at least once?
etc

Fruit tree is OP. Birds should consume fruit which then grows back after a set length of time.

they literally just don't work. who wrote this

• sometimes you get achievements
• more often you don't
• I can see Robin and Pigeon but nothing else?
• looks like something is just intermittently not getting through to the Achievements singleton

The economics needs looking at, currently (I think) nothing makes you net money other than nestboxes (1-3 money gained per money spent) and pond and fruit tree (arbitrary money over any given period of time).

There is a bug where sometimes buckets will be empty but you won't be able to fill them from the inventory.

As far as I can tell it happens if you fill a bucket too quickly after it's emptied (maybe between bird finishing it and bird actually leaving it?). It seems to happen with any kind of food. Buying a large amount of e.g. seedbuckets and just clicking on them repeatedly in the inventory as fast as possible as birds eat seems to trigger it.

possibly occurs when you

• start a new game
• immediately open the journal
• see no entries and see the "no journal entries" message
• quit the journal and get some birds
• go back - the "no journal entries" message shows over the others
