Installing the Facebook-feed plugin can be done in one of two ways. Using GPM (Grav Package Manager) installation method or the manual method via a zip file.

The simplest way to install this plugin is via the Grav Package Manager (GPM) through your system's Terminal . From the root of your Grav install type:

bin/gpm install facebook-feed

Manual Installation

  1. Download the Plugin
  2. Place the facebook-feed folder inside your Projects Plugin Section

The path should look like this: /your/site/grav/user/plugins/facebook-feed

Usage

  1. go to developers.facebook.com and create a new App and generate an Access Token
  2. Log into the Backend and open the Facebook Feed Plugin
  3. Pass the Facebook Page Id and your previously created AccessToken into the provided fields
  4. add the {{ facebook_feed() }} function anywhere to your site

facebook-feed's Issues

Validation failed: active is not defined in blueprints

Hi, I get this error anytime I save the configuration page:
Validation failed: active is not defined in blueprints

A workaround is to use "validation: loose" (instead of strict) in blueprints.yaml
I tried removing line "active: true" in file facebook-feed.yaml, but it did not solve the problem

best regards

Get the post picture next to the text

Hello there !

I just configured your plugin and it works well. Thanks !

I would like to know if it's possible to manage the disposition of the pictures.
For now, if a picture is available, it takes all the place as a background. I would like to show it next to the text of the post, as shown below in the red box.

Is it possible to do it ?

Suggestion: generate token from clientID & secret

Hello,

I've been really struggling setting up the plugin but succeed by looking a tutorial on how to generate a user based token that has access to the pages.

Suggestion would be to have this process accessToken generated from the clientID and secret and appID. Would this be possible?

Also, accessToken tend to expire over the time so it might be useful to re-generate one once it expires and to put in cache the full content.

Thank you
