Built With Ember Website

A list of ambitious web applications built using ember.js.

This project was inspired by a Google Drive spreadsheet that was shared on Twitter sometime ago. We thought that it might be a good idea to have a site listing all the cool projects built using ember.js so we made it.

Submissions

We are trying to keep the site submission quality as high as possible. Please only submit real world applications running in production environments. Make sure that you can link to the application directly and no demos or proof-of-concepts. Only finished applications allowed.

How to submit

To submit a site suggestion, open an issue or create a pull request. Pull requests will be given higher priority since they are easier to include.

Make sure the screenshot is 1000×800 for desktop apps/websites and 750×1330 for mobile apps/websites and please double check that everything looks good before submitting. It's also a good idea to run the screenshot through an image optimizer like TinyPNG before including it. This will help keep the website fast and the repository small as possible.

Running the site locally

$ gem install jekyll

Add a "Famous projects" section

I believe it would good for the whole Ember community to add some kind of a "all of fame" section on the site.

Like for instance:
Apple Music, Heroku, Intercom, Square, Nest Store, Twitch, NBC, Travis, Vine and Apple Help all deserve to be in that category.

This way people can see with their own eyes that Ember is actually used for real for big projects.

Monitor and remove dead websites

Hi!

Not all apps are successful and some of them die early.

I have the following experience with the old https://builtwith.angularjs.org/: a friend of mine asked if a real angular app can boot up in less than 2s. I decided to look for real angularjs apps and found this built with angular website. I went through the list and about half of the times the listed app was not available live. That's frustrating and I hope Built with Ember will be always up-to-date or at least will warn you if an app is not live.

Some mechanism to detect out-dated-apps is needed: for example, check the status automatically(show a badge, that the app is not live) and contact the owners to know if it's temporary.
