Spotlistr lets you export a playlist including the Spotify ID, but there's not a way to then reimport that list. Perhaps you want to copy someone else's playlist with some modifications or combine playlists easily. If the Textbox import (or something like it) could read Spotify IDs that would skip the whole lookup/choosing process.
Further, if an app has huge lists of songs and allows people to generate custom lists of Spotify IDs/links (e.g., RBDB.online), using those lists to create a Spotify playlist on Spotlistr would be much smoother without having to go through the song lookup and selection process (since the tracks have, essentially, already been looked up).
I would like to make Spotify playlists from a collection of memes. I think a large majority of your customer base would also use this feature.

Hi, first of all. Thank you creating this.
I tried to use it but the results of my Youtube playlist to Spotify were a little bit disappointing.
I had a Youtube list containing 50 tracks. Your search resulted in 5 exact matches, 3 multiple matches (great feature btw) and the rest was not found.
After some thinking and trying I saw you made a direct search call to Spotify containing the full title of the YTD Video. Which kinda is a overkill sometimes. If I've a title like this: [artist] - [title] [(Official Video)], it is most likely to fail on finding a result because of the appendix (official video). If you could remove things like that it will give more change on finding results.
I also found out that searching with a title like: [artist] - [title] [featuring], could lead to zero results but when you cut the [featuring] from the title you will get a result back.
My last feedback to you is to maybe try another way to find results. Maybe you could first search by artist and then trough the tracks. That way is more likely to get results back or not, depending on the input you get from the YTD list.
And finally I would like to ask you where my data is going, I login with Spotify but what happens with my data? By looking through the code you are only using it per request?
I hope this will help you further with the development of this great idea. Maybe I could join your force when I got time. But for now, this was my feedback to you.
I pasted in 137 songs into the Last.FM similar track generator, and it just hangs and says that none of the songs were found on Spotify. The button stays greyed out and says "Searching...". If I submit half of the songs, it works just fine. I'm thinking this might be a limitation of the Last.FM API, but I'm not sure. Adblock is disabled.
(I wanted to paste in an entire playlist to get some new suggestions in case you are wondering why I would want to do this.)

Hello,
It would be awesome if this tool had "user's recommendations" tracklist feature. It's the biggest thing I'm missing from last.fm, which led me to discover tons of new bands.
I'd appreciate if this could be considered.
Thanks in advance,
Currently dragging and dropping a track into the text box will just give the URL. It would be cool for it to show up as "Artist - Track Name" instead.
Whenever I export this playlist I end up with several instances of songs that aren't in the playlist.
"MSTRKRFT - Street Justice - Street Justice MSTRKRFT Remix" can be found 4 times.
"YACHT - Psychic City" can be found 5 times.
Hi, first of all thanks for the awesome tool which is letting me importing to sptify my very big music collection. Since I have been importing lot of songs, I notice that in many cases there are different versions of the same song, i.e. different lengths.
For example I search "the doors riders on the storm", and the tool suggests me 8 results with different lengths (max is 9:07, min is 4:54). Now say that the song in my collection has a length of 6:19. Among the results a song is 6:20 long, so maybe is the same I have. It will be good if this song will be automatically selected.
Also with mp3tag it's easy to create a text list with "artist - title - length" given a list of songs.
A sample of input to put in the tool: "the doors riders on the storm [6:19]"
Feature request from email. Would like to be able to export the release year of songs.
When creating via https://www.spotlistr.com/search/lastfm-top-for-time-period, the playlist in Spotify does not mirror the order of the track found by Spotlistr.
As an example, here the first track is by Clarence, but the first track in the generated playlist is not
lastfm user: kevinareed
date range: 12/01/2018 - 12/31/2018
resulting playlist: https://open.spotify.com/user/kavun/playlist/391YdZgbLipKhkKUTGrIZD?si=LP52UiiZQsaF56EeBoOwYw
I want to remove your access to my spotify account but it is not available.
You should have put that function.
Hey Bob, what's up!
Above all thank you, very nice job at Spotlistr.
I've tried to use earlier for the first time and realised that googleapis endpoint had a response header unauthorized (401).
So the "Searching..." button got disabled and the process has no ui feedback.
I'll send you some details by mail that could be brittle to be exposed here.
Thanks
Website continually asks me to log into spotify, signed in once and now site does not show me as logged in.
As Spotify does not support the feature of rearranging tracks on a playlist for android or web player, perhaps it could be supported on Spotlistr?
The need usually comes about due to spotlistr not giving me the track I actually wanted. So I want to sub in the one I do want in the place where the wrong track is.
So a "switch" feature may be just as adequate, whereby we go to an existing playlist and can switch a track for a different one.
(As an aside, I would prefer the spotlistr track creation from text to give me the option of the playlist as a list of spotify:track: links that I can paste into my desktop app, rather than forcing me to choose a playlist name).
This would really be great in my opinion!
Hi ,
How can I search albums instead of tracks?
Example
Michael Jackson - Off the Wall
Michael Jackson - Thriller
I need to put this in the textbox and get the " album uri" instead of "track uri"
thanks in advance
Per an email request, would be nice to have a feature that allows for an input of artists and Spotlistr will generate a playlist of the top 5 songs per artist.
Hello,
spotlistr.herokuapp.com is down for few hours - please for your help
Thanks
I keep getting "There was an error while creating your playlist. Wait a few seconds and try it again." when using the Textbox to import ISRC numbers. It completes the lookup fine, but at the bottom of the screen when I input a playlist name and click "Create Playlist" it returns this error after a few seconds. It was working fine a few hours ago.
It is just stuck on 'Searching' when trying this playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLWTkQFAXQh3im2_d5yCN0tglk0OURP8NF
I have tried in both Chrome and Edge
Data is returning from Last.fm, but no tracks are found on Spotify.
I'm using my own Last.fm username (pberry) for testing, but also the Top Tracks by tag is having the same issue.
Hi
not working when login name contains Umlaut (eg รค) encoding seems not to be removed from URL
ufe
There's a few services that do this already, but not using the extent of the new playlist features. Basically, read in an exported library and create new playlists and populate them with the tracks that are found. This is how Spotify's old iTunes import worked but it has been removed since the big UI overhaul.
A lot of times extraneous terms in the video titles ("with lyrics", "by" "official video") cause songs to be missed in the search. It might be worth to create a list of common terms like this and excise them before looking for matches; will increase the number of matched songs.
Would be cool :)
Hey,
Please make it possible to make a Spotify playlist from recent scrobbles. And it would also be nice to be able to specify number of tracks in the playlists (both for this method and for others).
When searching youtube playlists I just get stuck at 'searching'. No adblock, multiple devices, tried clearing cookies etc. Not sure if this is a known issue or something weird on my end. Any help appreciated! I really love this tool. It is by far the best playlist converter out there so I hope I can get it to work again...
Since the export is about music playlists, the individual tracks usually have both "-" and "," to their title. This results to the CSV breaking the information in more than the predesigned fields.
Having said that, awesome work and by far the most functional solution re Spotify :D Keep up!
when using the last fm loved tracks feature (i haven't used any other feature), i have this issue quite frequently.
Add a way to automatically remove duplicate tracks from a playlist
During the last week or so it has been changed such that search commands require authentication.
This is what you need to create a playlist and therefore it does not work.
All the items were returning no results.
