Have a display for max speed.
This may need to have a setting to choose which displays are to be put on the hud.

I just got a new Moto E4 Plus (Android 7.1.1) and bikey isn't collecting data. My old phone, a Moto E 2nd Gen (Android 5.1), bikey works fine. On the E4+ during a ride the display shows duration timer counting up, but speed & distance both stay at 0 (on the E 2nd Gen the distance displays 0.00). The location indicator in the upper left corner of the display blinks steadily the whole time but at the end of the ride I get date & time with 0 miles - 44 minutes. If I select the ride I get "This ride has no data."

Is this a known issue on Android 7.1.x? I've tried uninstalling and re-installing the app.

thanks for providing the Bikey app! I´m just starting to test it and so far I really like it´s simplicity and functionality.
There´s only one small improvement I´d like to suggest: I believe it´d make sense if the app would synchronise with the GPS tracker right after the start of the app and not only after starting to record a ride.
On my device (rather old Samsung Galaxy Nexus) it often takes quite a while (sometimes up to two minutes) to acquire a GPS lock so I have to either wait before I actually start riding getting a wrong duration or start riding immediately and get inaccurate distance info.
With the proposed change in behaviour I´d still have to wait till Bikey shows that a GPS lock was acquired but would then get accurate time and distance data for the ride.
And there´s often the chance to start the app while getting the bike and myself ready for the ride so Bikey would probably be ready when I am.

• Create a new ride 1
• Create a new ride 2
• Delete ride 2
• Press the media button
  => The latest visible ride (1) is not started. No ride is started (unless the deleted one is and we just don't see it).

Commas might be a problem.

This should work on the watch and automatically start a new ride.

I tried to build this project with a recent version of Android Studio. It complains about missing version 2.4.0-alpha6 of Android Gradle plugin. Even after commenting out the line in build.gradle, the problem persists (maybe in a different sub-component?). Can you provide fixes/instructions on how to build this project?

It might be possible to guess it by analyzing the accelerometer/gyroscope.

With the Play Serices Context API (activity detection).
One cool feature is to automatically detect that the ride is finished because it's easy and frequent to forget to stop it.
Another cool feature is to detect the bike riding and suggest (notif on the phone and on the watch) to start a ride.
