Multi-platform (PalmOS, Linux, Android, iOS, Windows, OSX, Meego…) modular synthesizer and music tracker

This repository is a mirror of SunVox 1.3b sources provided by original developer NightRadio under a BSD license: http://sunvox.blogspot.co.uk/2015/09/all-sunvox-versions-from-2008.html

This included only the SunDog engine (multi-platform toolkit for building apps) and the SunVox engine (the synthesizer), but NOT the SunVox UI and app itself.

This means you can use this to build apps playing or producing SunVox files using the same UI toolkit, but you won't be able to just build the exact same SunVox application.

Versions 1.4 and later are closed-source. You can download them from: http://www.warmplace.ru/soft/sunvox/

Feel free to use this source code to make an open source fork of SunVox or use the SunVox engine in your project/video game/etc. :)

Compilation instructions

hello!

i wanted to build the program to run on my own, but i don't know enough to just quickly build it and run. how do i find the instructions to do so with this repository?

I see a converter from MOD to SUNVOX. How hard is to make a SUNVOX to MOD converter

WHAT: A converter from SUNVOX format to MOD/XM/IT/S3M or alike format. Conceptually, the ideal is to be possible to original_mod == sunvox2mod(mod2sunvox(original_mod)) to be true.

WHY?: There are existing players for this older formats. And game engines. And the pain of porting the SUNVOX player for PS4/XBOX/PSP/bla/bla/bla, besides of getting the licenses and consoles for all of it...

WHY??: SunVox is a great tool to develop the modules, but only exports to something unusable outside its domain. Exports to MIDI too, that is very different of how MOD works. Example: one track per instrument.
