Electron Microscopy Particle Segmentation (EMPS) Dataset

The EMPS dataset is a collection of 465 electron microscopy images and their corresponding pixel-level semantic instance segmentations.

All segmap images are black

I just realized all the segmap images are black. Is this normal? When I load a segmap.jpg, all pixel values are 0.

Create a COCO dataset from the EMPS dataset

Hi,

I need to use the EMPS dataset to train a model that needs a COCO dataset as an input.
Can you please advice on how to create a COCO dataset from the EMPS dataset?
Has anybody tried to do so.

how to visualize balck segmap?

how to visualize the color instance of the segmap

image names and annotations name does not match

Hi,

I am creating a script to transform the annotation file into a coco json annotation file. The thing is that the image names in the annotation file have nothing to do with the image names in the dataset. It's impossible to know which annotation belongs to which image. How can I do that?

Why are the images in emps/segmaps/ are empty (black)?

Thanks for this valuable dataset.
I noticed that the images in emps/segmaps/ are empty (black, when clicking on them).
Am I missing something?
