we run the sld_hub_driver on a 4.1-ltsi kernel and can connect with the signal-tap.
However, if we try to use an dt-overlay and try to start the sld_hub_driver afterwards, then we get a Segmentation Fault. Even if the dt-overlay did not change anything in the device-tree or FPGA, but just reprograms the FPGA.
If the sld_hub_driver is started first, we can apply the dt-overlay, but the Segmentation Fault happens when a system console server tries to connect. I can provied the full error message if that helps.

Are dt-overlays supported and we have to search the problem somewhere at our place, or will there be soon a version which could solve our Segmentation Faults?

Are there any plans to update the sld_hub_driver / mmlink to work with the Linux Kernel 4.4 and adding an example for cyclone v to http://rocketboards.org/foswiki/view/Projects/RemoteSystemDebug ??
