add a page to see other subreddits based off what others with similar interests look at, respecting geolocation filter, so that you can find subreddits that people in your local area subscribe to

when "like-nope"-ing the last user in the search cache, display a separate page to tell user that there are no more results left.

map the user base: have a GMail or OSMap with everybody on it. Or maybe a life map with all logged in users on it.

a user with incomplete signup will show up in search, but their profile will "not exist" and break things

make sure to limit search results to only users with completed signup. maybe add a is_public to Profile model. also useful for users to hide their profile later, if they want to take a break.

pretty up err pages for "account age" or "karma too low". also, tell users on frontage about the limits.

add a "site is down" switch to quickly turn the site on and off.

add 2 switches, one in settings.py and one via a simple file in the main root, so that a simple: touch SITE_IS_ONLINE and rm SITE_IS_ONLINE switches the site on and off. Possible to do remorely via ssh.

Pretty up the like/nope selector buttons on profiles, and use fa icons.

"voting" on user profiles: remove "like-nope" options and add a more "buzzfeedy" voting with several positive options, and one negative (meaning, don't show me this profile again)

settings: add option to pick km or miles and display it all over the site.

Geolocation lookup from within mobile Reddit apps often doesn't work, because the apps don't have the permissions. Offer a lookup via Google Maps or similar service

Geolocation should take in a city name and convert. Many mobile Reddit apps do not support geolocation because the apps do not have permission. Most people do not know their lat/long or even know how to look it up.

Contribution Guidelines?

For the sake of curiosity is there any contribution guidelines for this project, or is it a rather open affair? Or do you not have much interest in contributors?

Tempted to contribute to this so just curious.

add pagination to match/like/nope user lists

clarify privacy policy: "When you delete your account it says most data is deleted, can you clarify what isnt?" add link to clarification from /me/ page.

there is a "no username" entry in the database, how did that happen?

add a simple "signup temporarily disabled" switch

for search options, have a checkbox for the gender of who you're looking for, so that you could choose more than one option

user ban list / blocklist: each user can provide a list of usernames that are banned from seeing their profile anywhere on the site.

that way, stalkers are killed off early and each user can control who cannot see their profile.

a way to hide one's own profile to certain other users, like a block list. The the blocked user would only see a "page not found" when they try to open a profile who blocked them.

On sr pages, add sidebar info about the sr.

activate "account delete" and check that in fact all relevant data is deleted.

at the end of the signup flow, show the "/me/?done=1" page before showing search results

doesn't find gender correctly. the main user search SQL has no search by gender yet.

add stats page with quick view of user growth, activity, etc

user can select only a subset of their subs to be counted for search

That way, a user could chose that all the large default subs are ignored, for example.

sign up flow css doesn't fit on small screens

every time a new user signs up, auto-post a link to their profile on /r/redddate: "[profile] username"

search settings: add option for minimum and maximum subscriber count for subreddits to be considered in user search.

ignore list: user can write a list of subreddit names to be ignored when they search.

max size: users can easily exclude the large default subreddits.

Implement "report profile" and mod "review profile".

if a user has no pic, show a placeholder "nopic.jpg" in their account and userlist pages.

Clean up css, use .card, center article, remove sidebar.

Some profile page return ERROR 500. User IDs 406, 869, so far. Reason unknown.

bug fix: apparently, SR names can include "." characters.

Define username and SR regex vals in settings now

search settings: user can write a list of subreddit names that exclude matches from search results.

A list of subs that negatively match and would remove any of their subscribers from user's search results. That way, people could filter out subscribers of subs that are overly racist, etc.

in header, matches count displays incorrectly sometimes

re-count the Profile model fields matches_count, like_sent_count, nope_sent_count each time the user opens the matches, likes, or nopes page.

The source of the counting error is probably when a user deletes their profile or is banned, the counts on all other profiles are not updated. But doing so would be too resource intensive for too little gain.

on signup, disallow users younger than 18yo to complete signup

Profile option "lookingfor": once you've selected one or more preferences, you can no longer deselect them all, must have at least once selected for the imput tp be accepted. Expected: should be possible to deselect all and have an empty "lookingfor" field.

sign up flow: make error messages more obvious when user didn't fill required values

Additionally, if there are validation problems it doesn't tell you....I didn't fill in any bio information in the account section and it wouldn't let me advance to the next page until I filled something in (however, this wasn't explained - I just figured it out through trial and error).
