It would be nice to have an option to trim the image with imagemagick -trim.

After installing Kim5, none of the operations would work.
I then remembered something about ImageMagick mentioned elsewhere in relation to Kim3, installed that and that did the trick.

Please add a check for the presence of required packages and only install when all dependencies are satisfied, and show an error (using zenity?) when one or more dependencies could not be found.

Alternatively, include a note in the readme.md about the dependencies.

How to do it?

On my system (Kubuntu 18.10), running qtpaths returns:

qtpaths: could not find a Qt installation of ''

In any case, need to add a protection for the install script not to continue if the variable kdeinstdir is empty.

Running with kdeinstdir hardcoded to /usr/ did the trick.

Nice that you maintain this package, and you did a fork to let this code get back to live.

As you forked it from my initial work, it would be nice, if you could keep my name in the list of autors and mark it as initial Autor.
I think you also would be glad if people don't remove your name off of an project, they fork?!

I loved Kim on KDE 5 but since Manjaro started to use KDE 6, Kim is no longer available.
Any plans to support Plasma 6?
