We are using the bootprint3 theme. I edited this file:
/usr/local/vufind2/themes/bootprint3/templates/footer.phtml
However, this file didn't exist at first. I had to copy the parent's file over to the bootprint3 directory (inheritance is observed in this template system):
cd /usr/local/vufind2/themes/bootprint3/templates
cp ../../bootstrap3/templates/footer.phtml .
