chatgpt-arcana.el's Issues

Choice for concise title

Right now, it is like:

what-makes-a-good-talk-and-how-to-generate-a-concise-title.chatgpt-arcana.md

How about making it into:

what-makes-a-good-talk...

Similar to left column on ai.com

chatgpt-jedi.el?

These wrapper functions seem to be featured heavily in the demo videos.

Are there any plans to release that? Or is it part of your personal config that you'd rather keep private?

Btw, great work on the package! Enjoying it so far!

How to send second user message on chat?

Hello there!

I'm new to Emacs and I'm having a hard time sending a second message to the same chat.

image

I tried Enter, Ctrl+Enter and some other stuff but that didn't work.

Sorry for the newbie question, thank you!

read the key value from .authinfo or some equivalent instead of init file

I'm doing something like

(setq chatgpt-arcana-api-key (auth-source-pick-first-password
                                              :host "chat.openai.com"))

with an ~/.authinfo that looks like

machine chat.openai.com login CHATGPT_EMAIL password API_KEY

so i don't accidentally make my key publicly available. great package btw, really enjoying the user experience

Streaming Mode

This project is amazing! It alone made me give Emacs another try, congratulations!

I have a question. It sometimes take a long time to generate responses, especially when using GPT-4. Of course this is OpenAI related, but the "developer experience" is affected.

Any chance we can implement OpenAI's streaming mode? I understand it might be very complex, but do you believe it's at least feasible in Emacs?

Thanks!

Make requests async

Hi! Thanks for the project. I love using it.

One little issue I have is that currently whenever I make a response in the Chat my whole emacs hangs. I would ideally want to do other things nav around. I suspect this is because the requests being made are not async?

Thank You!
