Installed running Rasbian Lite and mounted to office door. The initial problem was that editing .bashrc only works during a login; so instead created a crontab entry for @restart cd /home/pi/WFH_LCD/ && python status.py

This works and displays the webpage, however after an hour the LCD will not update when pressing the webpage buttons.

I see that status is still running:
