There are some programs from which I don't really hope data is retrieved, e.g. password managers.

Needs investigation, creating this Issue as a formal recognition of the bug.

Pressing Escape, pressing Alt, or clicking outside of the menu does not correctly restore focus to the previously active window.

Is there a way that the automatic pasting can be disabled? For me it is sometimes very disturbing that this happens.

it has happened twice now that Winclipper has crashed when I have accessed it. It is not too dramatic, because Winclipper starts quickly and the entries are still available. But it would be nicer without crashes.

Maybe the event-log entry (it's in german) can help you:

Love this program :-) but found a bug

I have paste immediately on
short cut ctrl-shift-v

sometimes when I paste it just pastes a 'v'
If I immediately press ctrl-v it pastes the correct post so it puts the correct data on the clipboard
