dynamic-scaling's Introduction

Dynamic-Scaling

Dynamic UI Scaling Toolkit for LabVIEW

This library provides flexible front panel scaling for LabVIEW. One of the key features is the dynamic showing\hiding of panes\splitters.

The technique will work nicelly with native splitters\panes and subpanels.

See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8T-IfM7kpXg for the GDevCon 2018 presentation on the topic.

See https://labviewwiki.org/wiki/NIWeek_2019/Achieve_Better_UIs_With_a_Dynamic_Sizing_Library_and_Object-Oriented_UI_Panels for the NI Week 2019 presentation on the topic.

dynamic-scaling's Issues

Add Documentation

Thanks for sharing this library with the community, I can tell it's really powerful, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to use it.

Documentation should explain:

  • inputs and outputs of API methods - for example, in the Object.lvclass: Init Object.vi what are A and B?
  • what the VI does at a high level
  • what the test VIs do/demonstrate, and how to use them
  • class hierarchy
  • what each class should be used for
