Hello!
I'm not a super CSS wizard, but I noticed on Firefox, OS X, the scrollbar starts half way hidden. Any fix for this? Purely visual, it functions perfectly!
Thanks for the plugin!
Stefan
I hope you will create a service what just enter GitHub username then embed to user' webpage, like this: http://lab.lepture.com/github-cards/ .(Then result: http://vyhn.net/about/ )
(ready to embed, don't need install many things.)
The current functionality that requires jQuery can be replaced with plain Javascript.
It would be great if it were somehow possible to have the scrollbar inside of the widget instead of being what appears to be the iframe scrollbar along the entire length of the widget.
Looking for a way to only see commits(username/repo), as it currently is, lots of stuff going on and want more control of the output.
problem solved
By default it show only newest activities and when reaching the bottom of the page, you cannot load more/older activities.
I noticed that the link at the bottom of the widget is hard-coded to link to your activity. I'm not sure if that was intentional but I think it would be much more useful to link to the user's activity stream (whatever the second parameter passed in is.)
I forked the project and attempted to change it myself so that I could do a pull request but couldn't seem to change that in the code.
Thanks and keep up the good work!
Hello community,
I am quite a newbie, therefore I ask for your patience. I am trying to publish my personal website, hosted by github and integrating the GitHub Activity Stream Widget. The widget works well, when I open the index.html as local file in my browser. However, the widget is missing (not even an error) when I push the files to github and use the GitHub repository webhosting directly and then open it as website. Do you have any suggestions why it does not work and what I can do about it?
Html files etc are available here: https://github.com/philippschw/philippschw.github.io

Edit: Note, I run into the same issue using heroku webhosting.
This doesn't happen all the time. (The username USER doesn't exist.) message shows up even after working wonderfully 2 seconds ago. This problem seems to be global since (http://ghactivity.com/) demo renders the same error message when problem persist.
There is no such official GitHub page with my per day activity?
Hi,
I just integrated the library on my webpage but I am unable to fetch anything. I am receiving the following errors,
Even on the demo link that you have provided, this is what I am receiving for all the github users.
npm install
npm ERR! install Couldn't read dependencies
npm ERR! Darwin 14.1.0
npm ERR! node v0.12.0
npm ERR! npm v2.5.1
npm ERR! Invalid name: "GitHub Activity Stream"
The name property in package.json can not contain uppercase letters or white spaces https://docs.npmjs.com/files/package.json#name
Doesn't matter if you set a limit, it wont work.
Hi there,
Would it also be possible to not show the activity of a single users, but of all users in a repository or organization?
That would be very cool to display on pages of open source projects, I feel.
Thanks for considering!
Hi,
I'm coming from this closed issue #8 because I'm having this issue as well.
I need to handle when the unauthenticated requests reach the limit.
I noticed that the GitHubActivity.feed({ username: "my-username", selector: ".selector" });
doesn't return a callback of any kind.
Can this be implemented?
Thanks
I am newbie to JS, I followed instructions in the readme file. But i wasn't able to get the activity feed. I attached my html file in which i also included javascript just for testing.
index.html.zip
Thanks :)
The activity stream shows forkd instead of forked when forking a Gist.
For some reason, my GitHub icon isn't appearing in the HTML output. I tried sticking my user name into the demo: http://caseyscarborough.com/github-activity/ and still got the same problem. When I check my public activity, though, it does show up: https://github.com/sa7mon?tab=activity
Do I need to set something else in git config?

For general comments in PRs (like kubernetes/kubernetes#47263 (comment)), kubernetes/kubernetes#47263

links incorrectly to https://github.com/https://api.github.com/repos/kubernetes/kubernetes/pulls/47263

Usually the activity stream gives a user not found error.
When I happen to get 'user ibo549 wasn't found' error - I check the live demo at http://caseyscarborough.github.io/github-activity/ and it gives the same error.
I am always getting
"User jmatharu wasn't found."
Any issue going around???
