cy's Issues

Rendering issues in alacritty

@fiplox experienced strange behavior in alacritty. Their full comment is included below.

There is some other quirks I found while using it. If you want I will open separate issues, but basically:

  1. With alacritty terminal emulator cy does not respect the cursor blinking config. In my alacritty config I set
[cursor.style]
blinking = "Off"
shape = "Underline"

but in cy the cursor is blinking.
2. In alacritty while using neovim I see an annoying blinking for some time, if I understand correctly it is due to writing an output of cy to disk. With kitty it works smoothly. And overall the performance in alacritty is worse then in kitty for some reason.

P.S. Thanks for this awesome project!

Setting viewport size from config not working

Hi again,

Sorry for bombarding with issues, but found another issue.
setting (viewport/set-size [0 0]) in the config file (or any other size) does not work at all.
Firstly I thought the config is not applied, but (param/set :root :default-frame "big-hex") is working as inteded.

Changing prefix and reloading config breaks mapping

Hi,

I'm trying to change a prefix to "`" (backtick). While it works with (key/remap :root ["ctrl+a"] ["`"]), if I reload the config with `+r, the prefix is unbound. Neither ctrl+a nor ` are working after config reload. Same with the example given in the documentation (key/remap :root ["ctrl+a"] ["ctrl+v"])

cy freezes after adding "(cy/set :animate true)" to config

copied from the example https://cfoust.github.io/cy/parameters.html:

$ cat $HOME/cy/cyrc.janet
(cy/set :animate true)

with animate (since it was disabled on ssh). After adding this and running cy, it goes to a blank screen where nothing is registered (sorry, not sure where cy logs are stored or I'd try to find those for you - I remember seeing there was a diagnostics pane but am not able to open since cy is frozen). I've tried re-running cy. most of the rest of the quickstart was running before adding this!
I'm using bash on Ubuntu 20.04.5 LTS, cy installed from latest source

Kill cy server when last pane exits

This may or may not be desirable in all cases, for example if there are multiple clients, but there should be a way to enable behavior like this if users want it, perhaps with a parameter.
