Welcome to the MeasureMate repository! This Unity project leverages AR Foundation to scan and capture wall faces, estimate measurements, and record device movement. Additionally, it allows users to measure the distance between two pieces of furniture in a room. It's designed specifically for Android devices.

• 📏 Wall Scanning: Detect and scan wall surfaces using AR Foundation.
• 📐 Measurement Tool: Utilize a ruler algorithm to measure distances on the scanned wall.
• 🛋️ Furniture Distance Measurement: Measure the distance between two pieces of furniture, such as a bed and a bedside table.
• 📱 Motion Capture: Record device movement with accelerometer and gyroscope data.

Follow these instructions to get a copy of the project up and running on your local machine.

• Unity 2020.3 or later
• AR Foundation 4.0 or later
• Android device

1. Clone the repository:

   git clone https://github.com/footcricket05/MeasureMate.git

2. Open the project in Unity:

   • Launch Unity Hub.
   • Click on "Open" and navigate to the cloned project folder.
   • Select the folder and open the project.

3. Set up AR Foundation:

   • Make sure you have the AR Foundation package installed.
   • Follow the AR Foundation setup guide if needed.

4. Build and Run:

   • Switch to Android platform in Unity Build Settings.
   • Connect your Android device and hit "Build and Run".

• Scanning Walls:

  • Open the app and point your device camera at a wall.
  • The app will automatically detect and scan the wall surface.

• Measuring Distances:

  • After scanning, use the on-screen ruler to measure distances between points on the wall.
  • Use the Furniture Distance Measurement tool to measure the distance between two pieces of furniture, such as a bed and a bedside table.

• Recording Motion:

  • The app will record and display device movement data using accelerometer and gyroscope sensors.
