Change the URL on which this extension is meant to work on is *meet.google.com/+ (+ because we also don't want to load it on meet.google.com home page) so it only needs and loads on those website. Have a look at URL regex other google meet extensions are settings.

I have installed the extension and used the "No Camera at start". It is working for hangouts calls just fine, but I tried it in a google meet link and the camera is On since I enter the room and after to the call.
Is this regular behaviour or something might be broken?

I would love to see a similar extension for Firefox (particularly automatically muting and disabling the camera). I was wondering if a port had ever been considered?

If you think it may be possible I'd be willing to take a crack at it (I have some Firefox extension experience).

When I close the popup the mic is always enabled and not recognize the correct sate.
Please fix.

I noticed if you have a Meet page in pre-joining area and another in meeting. Then if you toggle using the global shortcut it won't set the correct icon in extensions area. It flickers for few seconds to correct status then reverts to muted even when mic is open.

Would love a fix for this as it used to work. It used to keep all tabs synced i.e. it will un-/mute all when toggling.

I'd love to see an option that auto-enter into Google Meet meetings when I open the URL. I'd save me for a click, and would work so good with the settings this extension provides.

I have tried both the shortcuts but they are not working with the default. I tried other key bindings with no luck.

We just moved from hangouts calls, where the add-in worked well, to google meet link and the camera is always On since I enter the room although it's set to disabled.

Or keyboard shortcuts (editable):

 - Ctrl+Shift+8 - Toggle Webcam
 - Ctrl+Shift+7 - Toggle Microphone
