I would like to see this gem updated so that you can have a default record within a scope of other fields. For example a user has multiple projects with one project being the default. Each user needs their own default project something like

class User < ActiveRecord::Base
  has_many :projects
end

class Project < ActiveRecord::Base
  belongs_to :user
  acts_as_defaultable :default, scope: :user
end
